Visitors to the Kodak Alaris booth will learn how document capture integrates with RPA software to help workers reduce patient wait times, comply with government mandates, and fuel digital transformation.

Rochester, N.Y., September 30, 2021 – Kodak Alaris will demonstrate a new set of RPA-based solutions for healthcare and government organization at the UiPath Forward IV event in Las Vegas October 5-6 (booth #E10). The integrated offerings were developed as a result of the global alliance between Kodak Alaris and UiPath, which was formed last year to help both companies expand Robotic Process Automation (RPA) projects and deliver intelligent information capture solutions to their customers.

The new patient onboarding solution from Kodak Alaris and UiPath helps healthcare organizations reduce the time to onboard each patient, accelerate the insurance approval and payment process, and eliminate costly re-scan processes with real-time validation and instant error correction. It’s powered by the INfuse Smart Connected Scanning Solution from Kodak Alaris and UiPath Document Understanding.

INfuse allows content to be onboarded directly into business processes, while Document Understanding uses artificial intelligence to teach software robots to extract, interpret, and process data. After a registration administrator scans patient onboarding documents, the rest of the process — including validating data, updating the electronic medical record, and verifying insurance information — is automated.

“Paper is notoriously stubborn in the healthcare and public sector industries, creating a significant need for intelligent information capture,” said Sue Rodeman, Director of Global Marketing, Alaris Division of Kodak Alaris. “Forward IV attendees will see first-hand how our global alliance with UiPath helps organizations reduce reliance on paper by introducing simple, automated processes that improve the quality of digital data and give time back to employees.”

Kodak Alaris will also demonstrate new records management solutions for the federal government, which are increasingly important with deadlines looming for agencies to comply with mandates aimed at transforming electronic data management (particularly M-19-21 and FADGI).  A combination of hardware and software helps agencies manage their paper-intensive processes. Scanners from Kodak Alaris can handle the various document types that government agencies need to process, while the Kodak Capture Pro to UiPath Orchestrator Connector creates a seamless connection between fully indexed, high-quality images from a Kodak scanner and UiPath bots. This results in a faster, more secure, and less error-prone workflow.

The global alliance between Kodak Alaris and UiPath began in August 2020. It is designed to help both companies’ channel partners and customers leverage Kodak Alaris’ award-winning solutions and UiPath software to take information capture to the next level, making total automation and paper-free processes a business reality.

UiPath’s Forward IV takes place October 5-6 and is the world’s largest and most immersive gathering of automation professionals. It gives attendees actionable insights to accelerate their journey to becoming a fully automated enterprise.

Kodak Alaris is an Emerald Sponsor of the event and can be found at Booth #E10.
